Croatia Mayor Cleans Streets by Himself
Pula municipal services workers are dissatisfied with the amount of their 13th month Christmas bonus and have gone on strike. Mayor Boris Miletic has offered workers 500 kunas, or 69 Euros, in vouchers instead of the usual 2,000 kunas, or 275 Euros, the Croatian Times reports. Miletic has decided to clean the streets by himself, with the help of a few co-workers. On Tuesday, the mayor's team cleaned up several hundred kilos of garbage.
